A Miraculous Win!

The Cardinals got a win over the Rams, thanks to the referees. Last Sunday’s game had many questionable calls, but they were all in favor of the Cardinals. That is the miracle. Edgerrin James’s fumble on the one-yard line was the most mystifying. James’s knee and elbows were down when the ball came loose in the end zone. A Rams player recovered and was lying on the ground in the end zone when Reggie Wells ripped the ball out of his hand. When the refs somehow turned this into a touchdown for the Cardinals, I knew the Cardinals had the game won.

This week against the Carolina Panthers the Cardinals will need to plan on the more traditional form of scoring touchdowns; the players will need to cross the goal line while simultaneously holding the ball. My advice to Coach Whisenhunt this week is to run the ball and keep running the ball down their throats until the Panthers stop the run. Don’t start throwing the ball until you have to. David Carr will be starting this week. Whisenhunt should blitz him on every play and put eight guys in the box to stop the run, and dare them to throw to beat us. Hey Coach, come out aggressive and try to put some points on the board first and the Panthers with Carr will have to come from behind. Don’t underestimate Carolina’s defense; they are good, and Warner must get rid of the ball if no-one is open. Don’t force it, Kurt.

Tim Rattay was a good pick up. Let’s just hope Warner can last three or four weeks so Rattay can learn the offense and get his timing down. To quote Beandipdog: “Hurray for Tim Rattay, and hopefully he will not play, for if he does, it will be Warner’s last play.” Go Cards. If they move to a 4 and 2 record, I will be speechless. And that too, would be a miracle.
